Silhouette Table Legs Design & Build

This client was looking for custom steel legs sturdy enough to support a large expandable dining table. Several ideas were sketched and refined until we agreed on an open silhouette design with curves and angles in all directions. The legs tapered from top to bottom, had curved tops, and were set at a splayed angle. A tricky forging!

Scribed Fireplace Screen

In order for this built-in fireplace screen to sit snugly on the face of the rough stone surround, some creative gap filling was required. After two rounds of on-site scribing and fitting along with a few tweaks at installation, the steel seems to disappear into the stone.

Hanging Shelves Design and Build Project

A client’s kitchen redesign featured a full wall of marble – which made attaching shelving a challenge. Our design workaround was to hang custom open metal and glass shelves from the ceiling. The electric wiring for the lighting is hidden away in one of the uprights.

Table Base Design and Build Project

This client was looking for a dining table base with slender, elegant legs. The challenge was engineering sufficient strength into the design, which was accomplished with the use of heavy gauge angle iron for the legs and structural steel in the frame. The lovely wooden top was custom made by a local cabinet maker.

Suspended Shelf Design and Build Project

A client with a distinct industrial chic design esthetic wanted a custom shelving unit that found a place for their signature diamond R. A reclaimed wood top from a local custom shop completed the look.
